Nigerian Association of Shotokan Karate (NASK)

Empowering Elite Athletes and Instructors for Global Karate Excellence

The Nigerian Association of Shotokan Karate (NASK) proudly stands as a member of the Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN), which was formally inaugurated in 1992 and operates under the auspices of Nigeria’s federal government through the Ministry of Sports.

Over the years, NASK has consistently pursued excellence in karate training and practice across Nigeria. Our association played a pivotal role in elevating the sport’s profile through landmark events, such as hosting Sensei Kanazawa in 1984, which significantly accelerated karate’s growth and recognition in the country.

With a cadre of senior members who blend exceptional intellectual and technical skills, NASK is well-positioned to embark on a transformative journey into the next decade. We are committed to building a robust karate infrastructure that showcases the talent and international accomplishments of our athletes.

To achieve these goals, we have outlined and are executing an ambitious plan focused on enhancing local and international exposure for our members while maintaining vital connections with the global karate community. Our dedication to fostering top-tier athletes and instructors remains unwavering as we strive for even greater milestones in the development of karate in Nigeria.
